London Borough of Barnet

The London Borough of Barnet is a long-standing user of Plantech ACOLAID using systems for Building Control, Dangerous Structures, Time Monitoring, Land Charges, Street Naming and Numbering. The Plantech LPG is also used corporately.

 

Training

With Plantech, training is tailored to take account of differing requirements in each of the projects that we do.

Specialist training courses are delivered on site so that staff time is used efficiently.

During each implementation we ensure that technical skills are transferred in a manageable fashion. By the end of the process we leave behind a team able to support and enhance the ACOLAID system themselves.

• Staff time is not wasted in travel to an off-site training centre

• Courses are designed to reflect the current level of skills in a department. If staff already know something we won't waste time training them again

• Training is run in short, manageable sessions. Staff don't get information overload, but they can fit their training around their day-to-day work

• Specialist training programmes are also run throughout the year on topics such as XML integration, GIS document management and electronic government
