Systems

Our core product, ACOLAID, forms a suite of individual components that are integrated with one another, as well as with essential third party software such as GIS and reporting products. Plantech strives to keep abreast of technical and legislative changes, including e-government initiatives, while keeping the software easy to understand for everyday users.

At the heart of ACOLAID lies the land and property gazetteer. Totally NLPG and BS7666 compliant, and capable of being a stand-alone gazetteer, this system connects modules for Building Control, Development Control, Land Charges, Environmental Health and other core council functions. As a result of this integrated approach, councils can save the time, money and effort that is often wasted in duplicated information, and avoid the hassle of transferring information between departments.

Property details are stored centrally and it is possible to access the entire site history for an address from any individual system - records of planning applications, environmental health inspections, or land charges, to name but a few, are easily accessible from within any module, subject to users having the relevant access rights.

ACOLNET

Plantech's web-enabling software, ACOLNET, is a powerful yet flexible tool that allows data from any ACOLAID system to be displayed on web pages. Authorities can create their own interactive pages so that data can be both viewed and inputted locally on an intranet, or from remote locations via a handheld computer or laptop, or displayed on the Internet.

GIS

Electronic mapping, constraint layers, polygon creation - these are invaluable tools in modern local government, and ACOLAID systems provide an embedded link to any major GIS manufacturer, allowing the user to open the GIS automatically on the current ACOLAID case.

ACOLLATE

As ACOLAID's imaging system, ACOLLATE holds any file type local authorities are ever likely to need as well as sound and video files. Files can be attached to applications and automatically accessed from ACOLAID. Similar, though in our view less effective, results are provided by linking to third party document imaging systems.
